  • The office is located inside the Pacific Power Batteries retail store. The Ahmann family owns both businesses and it’s handy to have the cross-trained staff from the battery business take care of your storage business needs.

  • 5x5 and 5x6 unit holds small room - holds household items, boxes, seasonal supplies. 5x10 unit holds one room apartment, 5x15 unit holds two rooms, 10x10 unit holds three rooms, 10x15 unit holds four rooms, 10x20 unit holds five rooms, 10x25 unit holds six rooms. The taller ceilings that we have will help you store couches and mattresses efficiently. These are approximate size statements, actual Unit size and content will depend on how much each unit will hold.

  • Office hours (in the Pacific Power Batteries store) are during normal business hours: Mon-Fri 8-6, Sat & Sun 9-5. Access to your unit through the gate on 8th Street is 5am-10pm, 7 days/week - 365 days/year including all holidays.

  • Our Units stay pretty full. We recommend that you call to ensure that we have the size of the Unit you need. At that point we can hold it for a short time until you come into our facility to complete the rental proccess.

  • We call it 4X Security: as a daytime deterrent, we have our battery store staff’s eyes on people coming and going throughout the gated compound during office hours. Twice daily, morning and afternoon, our staff walks the corridors of both buildings to look for anything unusual or disturbed. Also, #2, we have 24 hour electronic security with password protected entrance for entering the inside of each of our two buildings. Additionally, #3, we have a burglary security system for all outside doors. Also, #4, we have 16 video surveillance HD cameras throughout the facility that record when any motion is detected. The outdoor lights are plenty bright to assure good visibility after dark. However, for your own personal safety, we do recommend that if you are accessing your unit after office hours, that you have another person with you when you are accessing your unit. You are welcome to purchase a headlamp or flashlight from our battery store too! We have lots of options.

  • Although we do not sell insurance, we DO RECOMMEND that you purchase adequate insurance from your Renter’s Insurance or Homeowner’s Insurance provider.

  • You will need a valid ID such as a WA Driver’s license, Passport, or Military ID with your current ID. You will be paying a $5 admin fee (non-refundable) and a $10 cleaning deposit (refundable) PLUS first months rent.

  • Yes! And we ask that it be returned upon move out.

  • Yes, the radiant floor heating system is imbedded in the concrete floor so your stored goods are heated evenly from the ground up. We set the temperature at about 60F degrees to prevent mildew. Generally speaking, mildew only occurs below about 48°F, but 60°F is more comfortable for people. In the summer, the building usually doesn’t gets above about 70°F because it is well insulated.

  • Yes. You can pay by Debit Card or Credit Card over the phone.

  • We accept Cash, Check, Debit and major credit cards including Visa, MC, Amex & Discover. We highly recommend that you sign up for auto-pay.

  • No. You are welcome to use a hand truck or two from the battery store at no charge. You’ll need to borrow or rent other equipment if needed.

  • There is a one month minimum rental period. You must give a 20 day notice when moving out. On move out day, please come into the office to complete your move out. If we are not notified and you just vacate, your rent will still be billed to you.
